Applying for a permit for a security company
There are various organisational forms under which activities can be organised in accordance with the Law of 2 October 2017 regulating private and special security.
Security company
A security company is any company (legal or natural person) that provides or performs security activities, or describes itself as such. A security company does not organise security activities for itself, but provides them as services to third parties. Although a security company usually provides security services to third parties on a contractual basis against payment, the commercial nature is not an essential characteristic of a security company. Persons and companies that are non-profit-making or that organise security on behalf of third parties only occasionally or temporarily, are also considered security companies.
Permit
All companies or departments operating in the private and special security sector must have a permit.
